4. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
It is one of the most beautiful films of its time, starring the British Film Legends like Judie Dench and Maggie Smith. The movie also stars with Dev Patel. The story revolves around the two retired ladies who visit India in their sunset years. The movie was mostly shot in Pink City Jaipur and in the Lake City – Udaipur. You can easily spot the bustling Railway station Road, Airport and Castle Kanotain the city of Jaipur. While in Udaipur the shooting was done in Raval Khempur and at Taj lake Palace. The director of the movie has beautifully justified the charm of Rajasthan in his movie. The scenes were so beautifully shot that after the release, many travellers from around world planned their holidays for Rajasthan Tours.
5. Slumdog Millionaire
Winner of many accolades and awards, this movie was actually based on Indian Slums and its lifestyle. Director Danny Boyle shot this movie in the slum areas of Mumbai and one can also see railway station area of the city. The story was revolved around a boy who goes through a journey from being poor to being millionaire with his life experiences. After its release film faced many criticisms for poor depiction of India and its people but that didn’t stop the movie to gain a haul of Oscar trophies that year. 6. The Darjeeling Limited

The places in Rajasthan which is visited by Hollywood biggies are Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Talking this particular movie, majority of the shooting was done in the Lake city – Udaipur and the Sun City – Jodhpur. The story revolves around three brothers starring Adrien Brody, Qwen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman, who reunite on the train to Darjeeling. The interesting part of the movie was that, Wes Anderson, the director of the movie was quite inspire with the movies of legendry film maker Satyjeet Ray and its’ his artistic work and several other documentaries on India, that forces him to make this film. The Himalaya scenes were shot in Udaipur and opening plot was shot in Jodhpur. The climax of the movie was shot in the old terminal building of Udaipur Airport.
