Hyderabad which is also known as the city of Nizams is located in the Southern Indian State of India named Andhra Pradesh. History of Hyderabad
According to the historians the city was established by Muhammad Quli Shah in 1591. According to the sources he had an affair with local Telugu Courtesan name Bhagmati. He named the city after her –‘Bhagyanagar’ and when she married to her and converted to Islam she took the name –‘Hyder Mahal’, Quil Shah then changed the name of the city after her to Hyderabad. The city was ruled by seven kings and that contribute this city develop in the field of literature and culture.
After Qutub Dynasty, came the Asaf Jahi Dynasty which drops in the hand of mighty Mughals. In 1724 the region freed from Mughal reign. At that time Hyderabad decaled it’s first Nizam. Later from 1769 the successor of Asif Jaha ruled the city formore than 200 years till 1948. In that year the city has got its official language as Urdu that prior was Persian.
During British Era Nizams were remained the princely states as they were faithful ally of the British. Post-independence the city was announced as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. In 2014 Telangana was formed and Hyderabad became its capital.

More than 300 varieties of mangoes and mango-based items attract hundreds of visitors from different cities.Hyderabad International Film Festival which was first launched in 2007 March. It provides a platform to varied works of Telugu cinema. From next year 2008 a short film festivals for children is being organized every year in the city.

The city was named so, because the bricks by which it is built were brought from Mecca. The holy place was completed by Aurangzeb in 1694.
