History
The Hall of Fame encapsulates the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Army in Ladakh. It has been included in the list of the 25 best museums in Asia and ranks among the top five museums in the country. The Hall of Fame was formed in Leh in 1986 by the Indian Army. The Military Hall of Fame Leh also captures the art and culture of the region along with the achievements of the Indian Army in the region.
Architecture
The Hall of fame Ladakh is 2 storied building and is divided into various segments. Each segment is dedicated to showcasing the achievements and sacrifices of the Indian soldiers. On the ground floor, there is data about the brave soldiers who fought the Indo-Pak wars. The ground floor of the building also has a projection room where you can watch a documentary on "Operation Vijay".
The Hall of Fame Museum houses objects from different wars comprising weapons and documents. Another segment is dedicated to the Siachen glaciers consisting of different types of apparel and amenities used by the Indian Army in the Siachen region. The top floor has guns and equipment that have been captured by the Indian Army during its wars with the Pakistan Army.

Best time to visit
- The best time to visit Leh is from April to June. From October onwards, it starts to snow which increases the chance of a person getting stranded, as the road gets blocked, and you may not be able to reach and return halfway to Leh.
