The Kukke Subramanya Forest range lies on one side of Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Bisle Reserve Forest is on the other. The sanctuary is surrounded on all sides by steep terrain and waterfalls, as well as several mountain streams. The animal sanctuary includes the Kadamakkal reserve forest.
