History of Amritsar


Amritsar was established in 16th Century by the 4th Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das. During the Mughal era, the city was known as Ramdaspur and was controlled by Guru Hargobind. Mughal interfered in the lives of locals. As a result, Guru left the city, after which the city faced downfall and came closer to the lost point. By the time the British era started, the city started known as the lands of Sikhs. During the British reign, when colonists ruled the country, Amritsar had its own truculence.

It was British time when the city faced it horrific incident of Jaliawala Bagh in 1919 when thousand were injured, and hundreds had lost their lives. To date, the day is reminded of the black day in the history of Amritsar and India.

Great service and friendly team

Our Rajasthan trip was very unorganized and from day 1 we need to argue for each committed hotel and details. Driver and hotel were not informed in advance and we need to pay 12000/- for the forceful event at the hotel which was never informed to us.
