History
Iskcon temples are found all across the world, but the largest one is at Tirupati. The history of Iskcon Tirupati dates back to 1974–1975 when Srila Prabhupada visited Tirumala- Tirupati at the request of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. After being mesmerized by the spirituality of the city and the thousands of devotees that visit every day, he thought that Tirupati is an ideal place to promote the teachings of the Bhagwat Gita and Lord Krishna.
By the year 1982, the idea started taking physical form, and on 10th April 1984, the Iskon temple was inaugurated. The temple was made open to darshan in 2005.
Architecture
One of the most important temples of the holy city of Tirupati, the Iskcon temple, is truly an architectural masterpiece. The temple’s architecture has glimpses of the South Indian style and adorns many paintings and sculptures each depicting various episodes from the life of Lord Krishna. The temple has idols of Lord Krishna and Radha that are adorned with ornaments The architectural layout of the temple is such that it houses a Guesthouse facility that offers the devotees a chance to stay at the temple premise.

- Visit the Goshala -
Goshala is an important part of this temple and is located right behind the Temple complex. The Goshala houses over 100 retired cows and oxen.

Soak in the divinity of this place by witnessing the paintings, marvels of the architecture, and the beautiful Deities.

- It is advisable to book the Iskcon Guest house accommodation in advance if you plan to stay back on the temple premises
- Devotees must bathe and wear clean clothes before entering the temple premises.
- Devotees must maintain absolute silence inside the temple premises.
- It is advisable to not carry much jewelry and cash with you.
Best time to visit
The best period to visit the Iskcon temple is truly any time of the year. However, the city of Tirupati is best from November to February, as the temperature is pleasant. The summer months being March to June witnesses humid and hot weather, but one can visit the temple during the early morning hours.
