Read More on Sariska Palace
History
This palace was erected by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh as a hunting lodge to receive the Duke of Connaught, Queen Victoria's son. Because of its proximity to the forest, the royals were frequently able to view wild creatures from the luxury of their balconies! They would hunt from their balconies on occasion. This Palace was built in 1892.
Architecture
Because Sariska Palace was created by a French architect, the architectural concept of the location is a unique blend of French and Rajasthani elements. The palace's walls are painted a beige color that blends in with the surrounding greenery. There is no center dome; instead, tiny domes may be found on the building's corners. The magnificent palace's interiors are ornately decorated, with paintings of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh and his family adorning the walls. From the massive doors to the ornate arches, this magnificent palace smugly defies any attempt to duplicate the magnificence.
