King Bali resolved to complete 100 yadnyas and good actions in order to earn the title of Lord Indra. He accumulated a significant amount of strength as a result of his unwavering determination. The Vaman manifestation of Sri Vishnu worshipped Shami Vighneshwar in order to destroy the fire sacrifices he had planned. Vaman later demolished the Bali fire sacrifice with Shami Vighneshwar's help. After this, Vamana installed an idol of Ganesh in the name of Shami Vighnesh Vakratunda in this sacred region.
