History
The original dates of the temple are not known, but it is believed to be existing from the times of Ramayana. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman was taking back the Sanjeevani Mountain after Lord Lakshman had been cured. He basked at the Jakhu hill for some time. The hill couldn't take his weight and fragmented. The temple has been fabricated around the place that is supposed to have the impressions of Lord Hanuman's feet.
As we see today, the temple was constructed in 2008 and the world's largest statue of Lord Hanuman was drummed up in 2010. The Jakhu temple is enveloped around lofty mountains and elfin views enticing devotees and nature fanatics.
