Jwala Devi Temple is a sacred site of pilgrimage for the Hindus, situated in the hill town of Mussorie. The temple is perched atop the Benog Hill in Mussoorie dedicated to Goddess Durga. Jwala Devi temple stands at an altitude of 2104 meters and houses an old stone idol of Goddess Durga. One has to trek for about 2 kilometers uphill to reach the Jwala Devi temple Mussoorie. The trekking path starts from Cloud's End and passes through the thick deodar trees. The trek offers panoramic views of the  Doon Valley, Shivalik ranges, and the Yamuna River. The visitors need not pay any Jwala Devi temple entry fee as it is free for the devotees.

Getting In mussoorie

BY AIR

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Aiport, Dehradun. The airport has good flight connectivity from major cities. The airport is located just 62 km from the temple. It takes about 2 hours and 12 minutes to drive from the airport to the temple. One can hire a cab, or take a bus to reach the temple from the airport.

BY ROAD

Mussoorie is very well connected to other nearby cities by road. The road to the palace has frequent buses that are travelling to and from neighboring cities and other towns. The Picture Palace Bus stand is located just 10.7 km away from the temple. One can choose to hire a cab or an auto-rickshaw to reach the temple.

BY RAIL

The nearest railway station is Dehradun railway station which is located just 37.4km away from the temple. Regular trains are coming from neighborhoods and other far places in the country. Great service and friendly team

Our Rajasthan trip was very unorganized and from day 1 we need to argue for each committed hotel and details. Driver and hotel were not informed in advance and we need to pay 12000/- for the forceful event at the hotel which was never informed to us.
