About Rani Kamlapati Palace Bhopal

Rani Kamlapati Palace Bhopal is an old palace located within Kamla Park in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, 5 kilometers from Bhopal Junction. This is one of the cultural sites to see in Bhopal, located on the bridge that connects the Upper and Lower Lakes. Queen Kamlapati, the widow Gond ruler of Nizam Shah, Chief of Ginnorgarh, erected Rani Kamlapati Palace in 1722. The location of the palace is closest to the Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. The Rani Kamlapati history is significant to the story and understanding of the Palace and is a legacy.

The Rani Kamlapati Palace is a monument to Bhopal's golden history. Rani Kamlapati's house is a medieval house located in the middle of Kamla Park. Bhopal was the domain of the Gond tribes, who controlled the palace that looked out over the Upper and Lower Lakes. Raja Bhoj constructed the palace on top of the enormous dam wall that separated the two lakes. In 1723, queen Kamlapati killed herself by plunging into the lake, according to the palace's history. That is how Rani Kamlapatis's death occurred.

The Fatehgarh Fort, erected by Sardar Dost, who seized over the castle shortly after the queen's death, stands to the west of the palace. This monument is a tangle of pillars and lengthy staircases leading to the lawn and balconies overlooking the lake. The design of Kamlapati Palace is early eighteenth-century secular architecture and the earliest existing example in Bhopal.
