History

The Mandir Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, is a 200-year-old palace. The attraction dates back to the Middle Ages and was erected as the Maharawal Moolraji Family's Royal Residence in the late 1700s. Maharawal Moolraji desired a luxurious house near Jaisalmer's temples. Some of the houses were built by him, while others were erected by his heirs. The Golden Suites were the very first suites ever created. The Surya Mahal Suites followed by the Badal Villas and the Jawar Villas are the most recent additions.
