It was established in 1890. It had another name called the Winchester Museum. Post-independence, it was renamed as Sardar Patel Museum. Also known as Sardar Sangrahalaya, this museum premises have more than 8000 ancient relics, Art & science gallery, a planetarium, an amphitheater, an auditorium, and a restaurant.

Ambaji Temple

Ambika Niketan Temple is a prominent pilgrimage site in Surat. It is located on the river banks of River Tapi. It was built in 1969 with two stories and houses Ashtabuja Ambika as the main deity with many mini shrines built around them. It is mainly crowded during the Navratri celebrations.

Swaminarayan Temple

Science Centre

It is a multi-facility complex built by the Surat Municipal Corporation in 2009. The complex houses a Science center, an art gallery, an auditorium, a museum, a planetarium, and an amphitheater. Surat Castle

This historical Castle was planned and built between 1540 and 1546 by Khudawand Khan. It was mainly constructed to counteract the attacks of the Portuguese. This is such an iconic site that stands as a symbol of resilience and defense against foreign invaders.

Dutch Garden

It is a Dutch-style garden characterized by efficient use of space, topiary use, and small artificial canals of long, rectangular thin stretches of water. It has a serene atmosphere and is located in Nanpura. River Tapi flows by one side and the mausoleum of Baron Adrian Van Reed who established the first Dutch port is also there.

ISKCON Temple

Locally known as Shri Shri Radha Damodhar Mandir was founded by ISKCON in 1978. Marvelous architecture design along with beautiful idols of Lord Krishna and Lord Rama is one of the main attractions here. The temple complex also has a guest house and shops for purchasing souvenirs and books.

Chintamani Jain Temple

It was built in 1699 during the rule of Aurangzeb. It was constructed to honor Solanki King Kumarpal and his Jain advisor Acharya Hemachandraji. This old Surat temple may look simple from the outside but has beautiful wood carvings and ceiling paintings made from natural vegetable colors.

Dumas Beach

This rural beach is located on the Arabian sea. It is known for its black sand and is famous for being in the top 35 haunted spots in India, because it was once used as a Hindu burial site, according to folklore. Nearby is the Dariya Ganesh Temple and shops sell Bhajiya and other Indian snacks.

Dandi Beach

It is one of the most iconic and cleanest beaches in the Arabian sea. It is a historically important site since Mahatma Gandhi broke the salt tax law of the British after the Salt march from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad to here. It has two monuments - India Gate celebrating Gandhiji breaking the salt law and the other is a statue of Gandhiji picking saline mud.

Jagdish Chandra bose Aquarium

It is located in the Pal region of Surat and is considered one of the best tourist sites. It has more than 100 species of aquatic creatures in 52 special tanks with their natural ecosystem. Great service and friendly team

Our Rajasthan trip was very unorganized and from day 1 we need to argue for each committed hotel and details. Driver and hotel were not informed in advance and we need to pay 12000/- for the forceful event at the hotel which was never informed to us.
