History
This School of Art was a unique initiative taken by the local artists in the year 1992. At present, a gallery-cum-shop is housed inside the building for the visitors to buy any form of wildlife painting. Right after this room, you will find an informal studio, where artists work to create some of their masterpieces with classic Hindi songs offering an amazing vibe in the background. You are free to take pictures of the artists’ paintings. They are very friendly and humble, they will greet you with a smile.
The main aim of starting this Ranthambore School of Art was to spread awareness about the ongoing Project tiger. The artists also inform the visitors and the local youth to ensure that the tigers survive in their natural habitat in the coming future. Various workshops, classes, and competitions are organized by the school for students who are from neighboring villages and towns.
Architecture
The complex is not a big as compared to other art schools, it is because it was started by the locals without any proper funding. The Ranthambore School of Art history is very inspiring. This single-storey building has few rooms in which artists create their masterpieces.
The school building also houses a gallery-cum-shop for the visitors to buy any form of wildlife painting and other art-related items. It has one small entrance for the visitors.
